THE CHALLENGE

High turnover rate of roughly 800 seasonal employees in addition to the existing full-time staff

Difficulty scheduling in-person training for staff

Limited computers on-site for staff

Inconsistent quality of training from session to session

Harassment claims have been made of more males than females on staff.

THE SOLUTION

Mobile friendly on-line learning module imported into their learning management system

Male narrators have the optimum impact with regards to harassment training according to a study published by Cambridge University.

Learner objectives were identified in collaboration with the client in a question and answer format.

All  lessons begin with a scenario-based example introducing the lesson objective as a realistic scenarios that may occur at the resort.

All lessons conclude with one to two quiz questions assessing the learners retention of the objective.

THE RESULTS

Created 16 microlessons within this module that was consumed by 800 employees, both seasonal and permanent staff, resulting in an improved work culture and fewer HR complaints regarding harassment.

With a personal login for the learning management system, employees are able to complete this training on computers at work or their own mobile devices.

Consistent quality of training is implemented across all departments of the resort.

New staff is able to begin their training immediately without concern for scheduling conflicts.
